Hec modernisation plan and business plan was prepared under his leadership and implemented. Avijit Ghosh also brought in technology experts from Russia and the Czech Republic to bring about further improvements to the company’s operations. His Role In Enhancing The Mining Capacity From 3.2 MTPA to 12.4 MTPA at Hindustan Copper Limited
During his tenure at Hindustan Copper Limited, Avijit Ghosh formulated a plan for the enhancement of mining capacity from 3.2 MTPA to 12.4 MTPA. He prepared detailed project reports for enhancing the capacity at the mines. He also obtained board approval for capital enhancement of the existing mines. He took the necessary steps for the reopening of closed mines. Driven by his goal of achieving sustainability, Other than that, he also brought about improvements in mining methodologies. This further brought about an enhancement in the company’s production capacity.
His Accomplishments At Jindal Steel and Power
Avijit Ghosh had also made some major accomplishments during his stay at Jindal Steel and Power. He helped improve productivity at Tensa Iron Ore Mine in Odisha. He also installed a cone crusher at the mine, thereby bringing about an enhancement in the production capacity. He was also responsible for starting operations of the Barbil Mine, where he installed a 1000 TPH crushing unit. He also had a leading role to play in getting the MoU signed with the Government of Jharkhand. He also initiated the process of purchasing Bihar Alloys, which was not operational for more than 10 years. This further helped Jindal Steel and Power in taking possession of 600 acres of land in Ranchi , Jharkhand.. The company’s steel plant activities were also triggered.
Other Achievements
Avijit Ghosh also spent a significant amount of time at Indian Aluminium Company, during which he strategically handled all operations within the assigned unit as a Unit Head. He also ensured improved functionalities and efficiency at the mines. He was also responsible for the total operations of the Bauxite Mines and Kaolin plant. This further brought about an enhancement in the country’s mining capacity. Avijit Ghosh also managed and monitored all the mining operations for Raymond Cement Works. He administered the process of dispatching limestone to the cement plant, thereby allowing the smooth flow of operations. He also developed the design and planning system of mines, thereby ensuring operational efficiency.
